Indiana NORML lobbying Indiana legislators to sponsor industrial hemp bill
In response to an overwhelming demand by citizens and government alike to look towards alternative sources of fuel Indiana NORML is currently lobbying legislators to sponsor an industrial hemp bill. Such a bill will not only provide a safer and more cost efficient means to alternative fuels then corn and soy but it will also provide a much needed economic source to Hoosier farmers.
Industrial hemp can be used for over 10,000 products including but not limited to plastic, paper, material, fuel, dyes and inks, food sources, and cosmetics. To read more about industrial hemp and what it can do for Indiana visit National NORML's Industrial Use.

Indiana NORML lobbying Indiana legislators to sponsor medical marijuana bill
With the growing number of states passing medical marijuana bills and the overwhelming support of over 90% of American citizens for medical marijuana Indiana NORML is now lobbying Indiana legislators to sponsor a medical marijuana bill.
When Executive Director, Beth Soloe asked Governor Mitch Daniels during his campaign debates in New Albany, IN, what his feelings were on medical marijuana, Governor Daniels responded "I support medical marijuana as long as I can be assured it will not be used for recreational purposes". The bill, which was drafted by Beth Soloe using examples of California and New Mexico's medical marijuana bills, does just this. It is intended solely for the purpose of medical marijuana and outlines penalties for people trying to abuse the law and provides false information in order to obtain medical marijuana.
